FCC Juniors get through county trials
FCC are delighted by the news that several of their young players have again been selected for county action this summer. Sussex County Cricket Club invites hundreds of children to trials every September and many then go through to a full schedule of indoor training until March, followed by outdoor games.
The final cut has been made with these Fernhurst boys making it through:
U 12 – Louis Eden
U11 – Dominic Ortlepp-Atkins and James Vigar
U10 – Fergus O’Connell
U9 – Charlie Langridge and George Philips.
FCC Junior section manager Rob Unwin says “To watch a young cricketer develop into a district or county cricketer is so satisfying. The impact of having them is absolutely invaluable because the squad really look up to these guys and it gives them real hope that they can aspire to be the same with a little hard work and confidence.”
We wish all our mighty, little Ferns the very best.
